Photos, measurements and permissions

Taking or importing photos, adjusting angle lines, editing notes, saving drafts and creating annotated images happen on your device. The app does not require an account or cloud processing for these features.

Camera access is used when you choose to take a photo. Photo library add access is used when you choose to save an annotated image. Photos, notes and angle values are not uploaded to the usage receiver.

Optional usage sharing in 1.1.4 and later

Sharing is off until you select “Allow sharing.” Choosing not to share does not change features, prices or Pro access. You can change your choice at any time from “Privacy & improvements” on the home screen.

If you allow sharing, the app sends stages and outcomes of measurement adjustments, exports, Pro and paywall visits, product loading, purchases and restores. Reports include the app version, UTC date and temporary random session and operation identifiers. Session identifiers change whenever the app starts and are not account, installation or device identifiers.

Usage information is used only to understand and improve measurement, export and purchase experiences. We do not link it to your identity, other apps, advertising profiles or outside datasets.

Purchases and information not collected

Apple handles the optional one-time Pro purchase. The app may report a purchase or restore outcome, such as success, cancellation, pending or failure, if you allow sharing.

Usage reports do not contain photos, notes, angle values, names, accounts, stable device identifiers, location, prices, payment details, receipts or Apple transaction numbers. There are no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and no cross-app tracking.

Hosting, retention and withdrawal

Wang Jiachen maintains the first-party usage receiver on Tencent Cloud infrastructure in Nanjing, mainland China. Raw events are retained for at most 30 days and periodically deleted. The bounded on-device unsent queue expires within seven days and is excluded from device backups.

Network delivery necessarily uses an IP address. The usage service does not store it in request logs or the analytics database. Brief request throttling uses an in-memory temporary digest that expires within one minute. We do not use it to identify users or determine their location.

Choosing “Do not share” stops future collection and clears unsent events. A request already in flight may have reached the receiver; received events expire under the retention period above. Because reports are not linked to an account or device identity, individual records generally cannot be located by your identity.

Earlier versions and contact

Versions 1.1.3 and earlier do not include this optional usage sharing. Their photos and notes remain on device and they do not send these new usage events. Installing an update does not enable sharing without your choice.
